William L. Bingham

Mr. William L. "Bill" Bingham, 70 year old Newton resident died at Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest on October 2, 1994 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 5, at the Newton United Methodist Church with Revs. Tom and Marjorie Buckley to officiate. Service time is set for 11 A.M. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery.

Mr. Bingham was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in WWII and had been a radio operator with the Mississippi Highway Patrol. He was a member of the Newton United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Erlyne Bingham of Newton; two daughters, Cindy Lewis of Forest, MS and Beth Brooks of Ridgeland, MS; one son, William (Bill) Bingham, Jr. of Atlanta, Ga; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers listed are Jim Ott, Jay Ott, Tommy Harthcock, Bob Douglas, James Gary, Glenn Pace, Charles Vance and Elliot McMulIan. Honorary bearers are Zack Lewis, Britton Bingham, Warren Bingham, Ray Murphey, Max Conett, Billy Anderson and Dr. S. H. Hindman.
