OBITUARY
Ora Ferguson, a prominent citizen of Lockhart Township, died Saturday afternoon at his home in Pikeville after an illness of short duration. While he has been a sufferer of cancer for many years, he has been able to go about his business. Some years ago he had cancer removed from his face but the malady extended to his stomach, causing his death. Deceased was 56 years old March 29th last and was one of the best known citizens of Lockhart Township where he had lived the greater part of his life. He was known as an honest and upright man and citizen and neighbor. He was a member of the Pikeville Christian Church. Surviving are the widow, Paradine, and one son Glenn and an adopted daughter, Hazel. Two brothers, Charley of Lockhart Township, and Walter of Oklahoma and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Jones of Pikeville and Mrs. Walter Usery of Princeton, also survive. The funeral was conducted Monday from the Pikeville Christian Church. Rev. Krank of Louisville conducted the service. Burial was at the Stillwell Cemetery.
