Florence Rantz was born Aug. 12, 1904, in Ozark County, and departed this life Dec. 27, 2006, at the age of 102.


Florence was the daughter of John Absher and Perisetty (Green) Absher. She was the youngest of nine children, all of whom preceded her in death.


Florence was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to have breakfast with her friends in town. She enjoyed growing a garden and working in her flowers. Florence always enjoyed visiting with her friends. She was a Christian most of her life.


Florence was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers and sisters, her daughter, Reba Jackson and son-in-law, Clell Jackson, and granddaughter-in-law, Jan Bradshaw.


Her survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Quentin and Voyledean Bradshaw, Ava; three grandchildren, Don Bradshaw and wife Loraine, Patty McDowell and husband, Glen, and Dennis Bradshaw; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She loved them all.


A celebration of her life was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 30, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Junior Hall officiating. Interment was in the Dyer Cemetery. The family requests memorials to Gideons International.
