The Rev. Murray Elvin Giddens, 78, of Norman Park, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Graveside rites will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
Rev. Giddens was born Nov. 15, 1930, in Adel, Cook County, Ga., to the late Gordon Giddens and the late Lovie Pafford Giddens.
A U.S. Army veteran, he was retired from the Marine Base and was a Baptist minister.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtice Foster Giddens.
