Okey Reed Sr., 76, who worked for 31 years as a guard at the former Barium Reduction plant, died Wednesday after a short illness at his Charleston home. Surviving are sons, Okey Jr. of Charleston, Frank of Dunbar; brother, Albert of Liberty.
