WILLIAM F. ALLEN
---Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Baptist Church for William Francis Allen, eighty-seven, who died at his home Wednesday, August 9. Rev. Frank Claibourne was the clergyman with interment in the La Plata Cemetery.
---Mr. Allen, son of Robert and Catherine Shumaker Allen, was born on January 15, 1874 in Adair County.
---On April 2, 1896 he was united in marriage with Mae Eller in Macon County. They were the parents of two daughters and two sons.
---Surviving are his wife, the children, Arthur of La Plata, Mrs. Imogene Baines of Garden Grove, California, Mrs. Maurine Allen of Galesburg and Ben Allen of Higbee, as well as a sister, Tena Reynolds of Fort Madison, Iowa.
---Three sisters preceded him.
---He was a member of the Chariton Grove Baptist Church.
---Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of services.

CORRECTION: In last week's issue we incorrectly listed the survivors of William F. Allen who died recently. The correct list is:
---His wife; one son, Arthur of La Plata, three granddaughters, Mrs. Imogene Baines of Garden Grove, California, Mrs. Maurine Russell of Detroit, Michigan and Mrs. Yevonne Wilhite of Clermont, Indiana; two brothers, Ben of Higbee and Henry of Galesburg, Illinois and one sister, Mrs. Tena Reynolds of Fort Madison, Iowa.
---We regret the error.
