David Newton Johnson, 70, died Thursday, at his home in Sparta, after a long illness.
Mr. Johnson, a life-long resident of Sparta, was a member of the Sparta Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy, two step-daughters, Mrs. Rosalle Carey, Springfield, and Mrs. Irene Luttrell, Sparta two sisters, Mrs. Lena Robison, Sparta, and Mrs. Etta Reynolds, Nixa, and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Sparta Baptist Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under direction of Chaffin of Ozark.
