NEWTON - Services for Helen Adams Chapman will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Richard Wiman and Dr. Charles Douglas officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Chapman, 80, of Newton, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at Kings Daughters Hospital in Yazoo City. She was born in Thomastown and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Newton.
Survivors include a daughter, Dawn Brunson, and her husband, Allen, of Ridgeland; a son, Larkin Chapman Jr., and his wife, Pam, of Belzoni; a sister, Nina Elias of Baton Rouge, La.; a brother, John Adams of Thomastown; and four grandchildren, Reed Brunson and Lori Brunson, both of Ridgeland, and Larkin Chapman III and Justin Chapman, both of Belzoni.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larkin Chapman Sr.; a sister, Edith Boykin; and two brothers, Herbert Adams and Bobby Adams.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Reed Brunson and Larkin Chapman III, and Deacons of the First Presbyterian Church in Newton.
The family requests memorials be made to Bethany Christian Services, 2618 Sutherland Drive, Jackson, MS 39216-4825.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday from 8 a.m. until the service.
