ABADIE, Dwane Preston - Age 55, passed away on July 7, 2006, at a local veteran's hospital. He was born on September 23, 1949, in El Paso, Texas. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and proudly served his country in the Vietnam War from 1969 until 1970. He valued his friends and his family and if you knew Dwane, he was your friend for life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Laughery and his brother, Theodore R. Abadie. He is survived by his wife, Karen and their dog Dewey. A memorial service will be held at the VA National Cemetery in Roseburg, on July 27, 2006, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the DAV or the American Cancer Society.
