His younger brother, Oscar Edmund Wait (1840-1921), was captured twice and escaped twice after the battle of Monocacy, VA where their brother-in-law, Edwin W. Skeels (1817-64), was captured and died in prison at Danville, VA. Henry was married to Elizabeth who filed for a pension.
