MRS. ELVA B. BAILY CALLED BY DEATH
WAYNESBURG, Dec. 17. - Mrs. Ida Elizabeth Baily, 76, of Whiteley Township, died Saturday morning, Dec. 16, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital, following an illness of several weeks.
She was the widow of Elva B. Baily, whose death occurred April 19, 1938, and was one of the well known women of Whiteley Township. Mrs. Baily was born in Center Township, April 4, 1863, a daughter of John and Sarah Frye Knight. Her mother died when Mrs. Baily was quite young, and she was reared by her grandmother, Mrs. Susan Frye.
She was a member of Whites Christian Church.
There survive one son, Ewing Baily, of Whiteley Township; one granddaughter, Miss Ila June Baily, at home; one half-brother and one half-sister, Frank Knight and Mrs. Coral Peters, both of Sandoval, Ill.
Friends will be received at the Baily home, Mt. Morris road, until Tuesday, Dec. 19, when the funeral will be held. Short services wail be held in the Baily home at 1:30 o'clock,
with further services in the Kirby Methodist Church at 2 o'clock, in charge of Rev. Albert Merz. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
