Edith Johnson married Lawrence Porter in Mound City on Sept. 15, 1928. They lived in Linn County for a time before moving to Osawatomie, where he worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. His health failed, and they moved to Oregon and then to Colorado before returning to Osawatomie. Mr. Porter died Nov. 13, 1949.
