Alice Louise Bardot, 80, Union, formerly of Luebbering, was born at Luebbering on September 28, 1913. She was the daughter of the late John Wesley Wieda and Mary Elizabeth Wieda, nee Phillips. Alice died at her home in Union on April 14, 1994. She in survived by 2 sons: Paul L. Bardot and wife, Linda, St. Clair, and Kenneth Bardot, Leavenworth, Kansas; 1 daughter, Helen Wright, Union; 1 brother, Dale Wieda and wife, Connie, St. Peter, Illinois, 2 sisters, Marilyn Wieda, Luebbering, and Amanda Carter and husband Joe, St. Peter Illinois; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Fred, George, and Lloyd Wieda. Alice was a Christian and 50-year member of the St. Clair United Methodist Church in St. Clair. In younger years, she had been an elementary teacher with her last position being at Moselle Elementary School. During the last 29 years of her working career, she was employed by the State of Missouri as a Franklin county social worker. In her free time she had enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader, but her favorite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Alice's kind and gentle nature are traits that will never be forgotten. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 1994, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair with Reverend Don Simmons officiating. Interment was in Crestview Memorial Park, St. Clair. Memorials may be made to the St. Clair United Methodist Church Building Fund, St. Clair.
