DONALD LEROY WRIGHT

DONALD LEROY WRIGHT, was born October 23, 1914 in Ovid, Colorado and died December 27, 2008.

DONALD was the youngest child of CHARLES EDWARD and LELA JANE {HOWREY} WRIGHT. From the age of six months he lived and was raised in Manson, Calhoun County, Iowa, where he graduated from high school in 1932.

DONALD served in the US ARMY from 1942 to 1945 in a Tank Destroyer battalion and FOUGHT in the BATTLE OF THE BULGE.

After the war he relocated to Des Moines, Iowa, where he met and married BARBARA OSMOND in 1951.

DONALD worked for the Post Office and retired in 1976.

DONALD enjoyed fishing, travel and family. Donald was a staunch Democrat and Chicago Cubs fan.

Burial will follow at CHAPEL HILL GARDENS, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
