The son of John and Sophia Dunkle Cramblit was born near Dudley December 8, 1870. He had been a resident of Wapello county all his life.
He was a member of the Columbia Methodist church.
He and Ellen Hayes were married October 21, 1894, at Chillicothe. She died March 12, 1954.
Surviving are two sons, Raymond H. Cramblit of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Earl G. Cramblit of Ottumwa: three daughters, Mrs. Icel Duncan of Cheyenne, Mrs. Geneieve Pashcal of San Gabriel, Calif., and Mrs. Fern Bates of Ottumwa, eight grandchildren, three great - grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Della Swenson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and a brother, W. E. Cramblit of Ottumwa.
A daughter, Myrtle, died in 1931. A sister and five brothers also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Johnson funeral chapel. the Rev. Everett H. Staats, D. D. district superintendent of the Methodist church, will be in charge. Burial will be in Columbia cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Myers, Charles Gardner, Harry and Cam Brinegar, Paul Rouze, and Ray Templeton.
