Lunsford Newton Cash was the son of James Monroe Cash and Mary Powhatan "Hattie" Wyatt. He was married to Rosa N. Russell on July 23, 1899 in Searcy, Arkansas. They had four children.

LUNCE CASH KILLED BY RAS REED
The second killing, the result of whiskey, to occur in Searcy County within a short time, took place near Eula, in the west part of the county, Saturday night, when Lunce Cash, a well known farmer of that neighborhood was shot and instantly killed by Ras Reed in an intoxicated condition and that Reed put Cash out of the house and was trying to get him away from his place when the shooting occurred.
