Ada met Harold Edman when she was working at the movie theater in Lompoc. Apparently it was love at first sight for both. Ada and Harold married in July 1940 and raised four children. Ada was a school cook, a sales clerk at Stalker's Department Store and later was an Avon representative. She was also a 4-H leader for sewing.
Ada enjoyed the many social activities provided by the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs, the Grange and the Mr. & Mrs. Club. She especially enjoyed playing Bunco, cards and board games.
Ada died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at the Convalescent Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Harold, who died April 28, 2005; sisters, Bernice, Harriett and Abbey; and brothers, Alfred and Harry.
Memorials may be made to the Lompoc Valley Historical Society,
