He was born October 7, 1885 in Dry Fork to Thomas and Margaret Gfroerer Bingham, Jr. He married Martha May Roberson April 5, 1911 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died November 24, 1958.
MR. BINGHAM operated the first retail dairy in the Uintah Basin. He was bishop of Maeser LDS Ward for 14 years; a member of the Uintah Stake high council for four years and ward clerk for 19 years.
He was Uintah County assessor for 16 years and county treasurer for four years. He was associated as manager with the Acorn Mercantile Establishment.
A GRADUATE of Brigham Young Academy in 1905, Mr. Bingham also served on the Selective Service Board and Price Administration Board, World War II.
Survivors include his son and daughters, Victor L., Vernal; Mrs. Ernest I. (Afton) Stewart, Scottsdale, Arizona; Mrs. Don C. (Veda) Carter, Logan; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Vilate Hall, Vernal; Roseltha Vernon, Orem and Keren Hacking, Cedar Fort.
THE FUNERAL services were conducted by Bishop Thoral Bodily. Verdin R. Johnson gave the prayer at the mortuary. Melba Eaton played prelude and postlude music. C. Lawrence Fox gave the opening prayer.
A quartet consisting of Margaret Roberts, Barcelina Hatch, Eloise Adams and Leah Abplanalp sang "In the Garden of Tomorrow", accompanied by Mrs. Eaton.
SPEAKERS WERE Arza Adams who gave the obituary; Bishop W. Harvey McKee and E. W. Bodily. Edna Jones sang "I Know My Heavenly Father Knows", accompanied by her daughter Faye.
Chellus Caldwell sang "End of A Perfect Day", a~colnpanied by Eva Hatch. Dr. Don C. Carter gave the closing prayer .
PALLBEARERS were grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Roland V., Thomas O., Ralph and Elton Bingham, Claude R. Snow, Soren Andersen, Kenneth Burns and Ellet Brundsen.
The grave was dedicated by Laird Billings. Burial was in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery.
