Pioneer Resident Dead.
J.M. Gay Had Lived in Jefferson County 50 Years.

J. M. GAY, 76, pioneer resident of Jefferson county, died at his home in Meriden Monday night after a long illness. He had been a resident of Jefferson county 50 years. He retired from the farm 20 years ago and moved to Meriden.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella GAY; and six sons, G.W. GAY, Meriden; B.T. and H.C. GAY, Oskaloosa; L.O. GAY, Topeka; Amos GAY, Kansas City, and Dean GAY, Los Angeles.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
