John Burley died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alta Klosterman at Hyndman, on Monday, May 20, aged 79 years. He is survived by six daughters and four sons: Mrs. Mary Baker of Cumberland, Mrs. Louvienia Cook and Mrs. George W. Evans, of Pittsburgh; John Burley of Connellsville, Harry Burley of Meyersdale, Mrs. Harvey Wineland of Ellerslie, Mrs. William Shroyer, Mrs. Alta Klosterman, Norman and Perry Burley, of Hyndman. He leaves a brother and sister: Nelson Burley of Ellerslie and Mrs. Sarah Scritchfield of Sulphur Springs. The Bedford Gazette, May 24, 1912
