Irene Buchanan Rowland
Spruce Pine, N.C. - Irene Buchanan Rowland, 86, of Country Club Woods in Spruce Pine, died Saturday, December 27, 2008, at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine.
A native of Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Zora B. Buchanan and was the wife of the late Eckle Rowland who passed away in 2001.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Everett Buchanan and two sisters, Valerie Blackburn and Kate Pitman.
Mrs. Rowland was a member of the Bear Creek Baptist Church.
The funeral service for Mrs. Irene Roland will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2008 at the Bear Creek Baptist Church. The Revs. Chris Rathbone, Buster Yelton, and Vernon Buchanan will officiate the service. Music will be provided by Rhonda Gouge and Patrick Willis.
Interment will be in the Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
