Florence McDaniel, 82, died on January 31, 2007 in the Central Texas Hospital in Cameron. She was a resident of Rockdale for over 40 years. She was born on October 31, 1924 in Cape Fear, North Carolina to Olie and Annie (Sauls) Holt. She married Glenn McDaniel on April 14, 1997 in Cameron.
Her husband, Glenn, sister, Ann Backhaus and brother, Clyde Holt preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, April King of Rockdale; step daughters: Glenda Marrett of Austin and Shawn Williams of Taylor; step sons: Gary Dale McDaniel of San Gabriel, Allen McDaniel of Taylor and David McDaniel of Pflugerville and her brother, Otis Holt of North Carolina.
