MILAM Rites At 10 O'clock
Father of Mrs. TWITTY, Former Abilenian, to be buried

Funeral services for John T. MILAM, 74, who succumbed to a week's illness at 1 a.m. Monday, will be held this morning at 10 o'clock from the Laughter Funeral home. Rev. E. B. SURFACE, pastor of the Central Presbyterian church, will be assisted by Rev. J. A. LOVELL of the Trinity Baptist church, in officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic cemetery.

Mr. MILAM came to Abilene one year ago to make his home, residing at 1042 Chestnut street. He had lived here previously, in 1920 and 1923, with his daughter, Mrs. R. B. TWITTY. Her husband was pastor of the Central Presbyterian church. Rev. TWITTY is not at the First Presbyterian church in Garden City, Kans. Mrs. TWITTY arrived Monday for the funeral service. Other survivors are three sons, C. R. of Galveston, M. T. of Waxahachie, and R. H. of St. Joseph, Mo.

Mr. MILAM was born in Arkansas, and came to Texas 36 years ago. He had spent many years t Hillsboro and on the Plains.

Pallbearers will be E. L. FINLEY, R. S. FIELDS, Dr. J. G. DODGE, Dr. B. F. RHODES, T. S. LANKFORD, C. A. ALDRIDGE, Jack LINTON and Luther CLARK.
