Born April 6, 1918, in Miner, son of the late Henry Tony and Maggie Mae English Vaughn, he lived in the Canalou area most of his life. He was a member of the Christian Tabernacle in Sikeston and U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
On June 15, 1939, he married Mary Louise Reeves who preceded him in death on Nov. 13, 1992.
Also preceding him in death were three brothers, three sisters, two grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
Survivors include: two sons, Woodrow Vaughn and Bobby Vaughn; two daughters, Connie Felton, and Linda Day; two sisters, Evelyn Rodgers and Mary Cantrell; and 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse.
Graveside services were scheduled at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston with the Rev. Jimmy Vent of Morehouse officiating.
