Mima Kyle
Mima Kyle, Springfield, MO, went to her heavenly home on Christmas Day, 2008 at the age of 88 years. Mima was born the daughter of Dewey and Ora Garrison on August 11, 1920 in Ozark County, MO.
She was united in marriage to Dale Winn Kyle on June 26, 1943 in Ozark County, MO. To this union four children were born. Prior to marriage she taught in a one room school house in rural Ozark County. She enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, and reading her Bible. Her greatest joy was being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mima was a member of South Haven Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters Sharon Smith and husband Gene of Portales, NM; Joyce Cooper and husband Robert of Springfield, MO; Debra Butts and husband William of Springfield, MO; eight grandchildren Rhonda (Smith) Jones and husband Burt of Kingston, GA; Cheryl (Smith) Beckler and husband Joe of Durango, CO; Roy Smith and wife Kristi of Ashville, NC; Brian Cooper of Springfield, MO; Sean Cooper of Bangkok, Thailand; April Cooper of Marshall, MO; Matthew Butts of Norman, OK; Michelle Butts of Springfield, MO; seven great grandchildren Caroline, Macon, Foster, and Victoria Jones all of Kingston, GA, and Joshua, Kyle, and Ryan Beckler of Durango, CO. She also leaves behind a lifetime friend Hazel Rhodes of Mt. Vernon, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son Bobby Kyle.
Funeral services will be 11 AM on Monday, December 29, 2008 at the Thornfield Chapel with Rev. Joe Beckler of Matthew's House Church in Durango, CO and Jim Kyle officiating. Interment will follow in the Thornfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 10:30AM to service time.
