Elizabeth J. Tyberg, age 91, of Lake Shore Drive, Escanaba, Michigan, died at home on September 14, 2004.

Elizabeth Jacobson was born April 21, 1913 in Escanaba, the daughter of Capt. Peter H. and Ellen (Sorensen) Jacobsen and was a life long resident. She was a graduate of the Escanaba High School and had worked for the Escanaba Steam Laundry from 1936 to 1940.

Elizabeth was married to Otto Tyberg on October 2, 1965 and he preceded her in death on January 12, 1993.

Elizabeth was a well known librarian with the Escanaba Public Library from 1940 until her retirment in 1975.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Escanaba, had served on the Board of Directors for the Delta County Historical Society and was a past member of the Escanaba River Post #115 of the American Legion.

Elizabeth left to survive her :

1 nephew: Vern (Karen)Tardel of Santa Rosa, Calif.; several cousins and a very special friend Bev Riegert of Ford River, Mi..

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Otto and a twin sister Marie Tardel.
