Mrs. Alphild Ahlstrand, 43, of 1714 Seventeenth avenue, Moline, wife of Francis A. Ahlstrand, auditor at Moline National Bank, died at 1:36 yesterday afternoon in Moline Public hospital, where she had been a patient since February 13. Mrs. Ahlsterand, who was employed many years as a secretary in the insurance department of Deere & Co., had been in failing health the last six months.

The body is at Esterdahl mortuary where friends may call until 11:30 Saturday morning when it will be removed to Salem Lutheran church, where funeral services will be held at 3 in the afternoon, the Rev. W.X. Magnuson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.

Mrs. Ahlstrand, the former Alphild Augusta Carlson, a daughter of Charles and Mathild Carlson, was born Aug. 16, 1904, in Moline. She graduated from the Moline high school in 1923, and married Francis A. Ahlstrand, Sept. 10, 1929. She was employed by Deere & Co., from 1929 until May 1, 1945. She was a member of Salem Lutheran church, the Dorcas society and the Married People's class. She was a charter member and active in organizing the Ladies' City bowling league.

Surviving are the widower; two sons, David and Thomas, both at home, and three sisters, Mrs. J.C. Luchsinger and Mrs. J.C. Scott, both of Moline, and Mrs. A.A. Wulf of Davenport. Her parents and a sister preceded her in death.
