Yesterday morning the sad news reached town of the accidental death of Mr. H.S. Shahan. He had been sitting up all night at Mr. Champlain's place with Mr. Buell, who is down with typhoid fever, and about four o'clock in the morning he was feeling very sleepy and worn out he concluded he would take a little drink of whisky and lie down and take a nap, but unfortunately he got ahold of the wrong bottle, a bottle of carbolic acid that was sitting near the other bottle. He swallowed enough to produce almost immediate death before he discovered his error. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon. - Cedarvale Commercial.
