Josephine Emily (Ingraham) Eoff was the daughter of John Joseph Ingraham, a native of Connecticut, and Harriet E Morse, a native of Pennsylvania. Josephine was raised in Woodville Township, Sandusky County, Ohio along with brothers and sisters, Louisa, Elias J, Alonzo and Sarah Adell Ingraham. John Joseph Ingraham was a farmer.

Josephine married Orson John Eoff, the son of George W Eoff and Rhoda Bates, the former a native of New York and the latter a native of Vermont. Josephine and Orson were married December 29, 1869 in Fremont, Sandusky County, Ohio. They were the parents of George Joseph Eoff, Hattie Louise (Eoff) Johnston, Emma B (Eoff) Harman and James Arthur Eoff.

"Mr and Mrs Orson J Eoff last night celebrated their fifty-seventh anniversary in their home. Mr Eoff is with the Yellow Cab Company of which his son-in-law, Dale Harmon, is vice-president and general manager. The couple was married in Fremont, Ohio, December 29, 1869. Mr Eoff was 21 and his bride was 17 years old. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Taylor County, Iowa. In 1890 Mr Eoff became connected with the Tootle-Wheeler-Motter Dry Goods Company of St Joseph. The Eoffs made their home there until they came to Kansas City in 1905."
