She was born Dec. 3, 1909, in Fremont, daughter of George and Grace Lamphiear Riley. She married Joseph Peters on Nov. 29, 1934, in Volga City. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Peters was owner/operator of Peters Grocery, Fairbank, and in later years was employed at Fareway, Oelwein.
Survived by: a son, Raymond of Fredericksburg; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Waneta Ohl of Barstol, Calif.
Preceded in death by: a granddaughter; six brother; and two sisters.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fairbank, with burial in the church cemetery. Public visitation from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at Wood's Funeral Home, Fairbank, with a 5 p.m. Scripture service.
