FUNERAL FOR MRS. MATHEWS HELD YESTERDAY
The funeral for the late Martha Rhoba Mathews, 96 years of age, was held yesterday at Gardner's Funeral parlors. She was born April 9, 1844 at Hinkley, Medina county, Ohio, and passed away on April 2 at her home in White Salmon. She was married to Geo. B. Mathews on Oct. 20, 1873 and lived at Coldwater, Mich., until 1901, when she came to White Salmon where she has since made her home. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. T.A. Leaton, of Glenwood, Wash., a son, L.P. Mathews, of Mist, Oregon, and two daughters, Mrs. C.F. Meiser, of Elkhart, Ind., and Mrs. Frank Hunsaker, of White Salmon, besides 13 grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. The remains were laid to rest in the White Salmon Odd Fellows cemetery.
