"Sketch of life of George F. Hackett. He was born Alpine, Utah Co., Utah August 16, 1868. He was the son George Hackett and Sarah Allen Hackett of Salt Lake City. In early boyhood he moved with his parents to St. Johns, Arizona. When a young man he came to Ephraim, and from Ephraim to Glenwood where he married Effie Buchanan in the year 1891. From that union five children were born Cortez Hackett, Miss Letta Barlow, Lamar and Glen Hackett and Mrs. Ethel Moore. Two sons Cortez and Lamar preceded their father to the great beyond. He was a devoted husband and a loving father. He was always ready and willing to do his part when called upon."
