Fred Short, Pocola, Okla. (Special) Funeral services for Fred Short, 56, of Pocola is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bonanza Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Clyde Curry, pastor, and Rev. Marion Sisco officiating. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
Mr. Short died Monday at a Fort Smith hospital after a short illness.
Survivors include his wife, Rowena, of the home; one son, Arden, of Pocola, Okla; two brothers, Henry of Fort Smith and Melvin of Bonana; one sister, Mrs. Hazel Smith of Bonanza and one grandchild.
