Beverly Joan BeBee
Services for Beverly Joan BeBee, 80, Logansport, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Fisher Funeral Chapel.
She died at 10:38 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, in Woodbridge Health Campus.
Born March 20, 1928, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Benjamin B. and Frances I. Dunham Hankee. On May 26, 1946, she married Richard Lyle BeBee, who preceded in death April 3, 1983.
She was retired from General Telephone where she had worked as a supervisor and operator.
Beverly was a devoted member of Cross-Wind United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the chancel choir and was church historian for many years. Beverly was also a member of the Sarah Hay Circle, the Triple S Bible Study group and was a member of the altar guild at church. She was a longtime member of the Lambda Chapter of Delta Chi Sigma International. She was a volunteer with the Emmaus Mission Center in the beginning years of its ministry to this community.
Some of the best times in her life revolved around her love of traveling and camping. Beverly was also a serious mushroom hunter. With a big smile and a personality to match, she was a joy to be around, and she loved her family and friends dearly.
Surviving are one son, Bruce BeBee and his wife, Lana, Huber Heights, Ohio; two daughters, Sherida "Sheri" Brower and her husband, Bob, Brownsburg, and Julie Conn and her husband, Jeff, Logansport; eight grandchildren, Jelane Johnson and her husband, Dan Roth, Frankfort, Ky., Vonda Fruhwirth and her husband, Brent, and Alice BeBee, all of Dayton, Ohio, Mark BeBee, Phoenix, Ariz., Amy Keller and her husband, Josh, Danville, Janelle Stoner and her husband, Heath, Logansport, Adam Brower and his wife, Amy, Pittsboro, and Jennifer Conn, Logansport; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Rev. George Plasterer will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of services Monday in the funeral chapel.
