Robert Roy Bonner entered into rest on October 17, 2007, in Los Gatos, California, at age 86. Born in Albion, Nebraska, on June 5, 1931, he was a resident of Santa Clara County for 38 years. He was survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Patricia D. Bonner; brothers George and Brian Bonner; nine brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He served very proudly in the Army, stationed in Germany, during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a journeyman printer for 50 years. The last 30 of those years were spent at the San Jose Mercury News.

He loved his church, reading, fishing, movies, and traveling, and he belonged to the San Francisco Typographical Union and Retirees Club. He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Patricia and a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Friends were invited to attend a Rosary on Wednesday, October 24, 20007, with visitation hours at the Chapel of the Hills in Los Gatos, California. A Mass was said the next day, October 25th, at St Lucy's Catholic Church, Campbell, California. In recognition of his faithful military service, he was laid to rest with honor at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, California.
