Irene Dominy of Pennington, age 101, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in Crockett at Houston County Nursing Home. Irene was born on August 2, 1919 to David Franklin Antley and Lethia Ann (Reynolds) Antley in Magee Bend. She was a licensed Cosmetologist who owned and operated her own Beauty Shop in Crockett for many years. Her real passion was her vegetable garden from which she provided produce for a multitude of family, friends and neighbors.

Irene is survived by son, John Franklin Dominy and wife, Jo Ann of Wenonah, NJ; daughter, Lethia Ann Sweeney and husband, Gerard of Palm Coast, FL;
grandchildren, Jennifer Lee Clouser and husband, William Joseph of Charlotte, NC, John Robert Dominy and wife, Deborah Grace of Wenonah, NJ;
great-grandchildren, Elise Ann and Sarah Jane Clouser, John Michael, Jacob Robert, Samantha Grace and Alexander Dominy.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 plus years, John Henry Dominy, Jr. and infant son, Robert Edison Dominy.
Funeral services for Irene Dominy will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel, Rev. John Goss officiating. Interment to follow at the Pennington Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pennington Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 216, Pennington, TX 75856, would be appreciated.
