DUDLEY - Margaret Ann Parks, 63, died Oct. 28, 2001, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
Born June 28, 1938, in Bernie, MO, daughter of Mildred Spicer Mekan of Bernie and the late Lawrence Mekan, she lived in Dudley most of her life, where she attended the Church of God.
On Feb. 25, 1956, in Bloomfield, she married Charles "Bo" Parks who preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1983.
Survivors in addition to her mother include: five daughters, Loretta Parks, Sharon Shoup, Patricia L. Disney, Tonya Clark and Sandra Holland; one son, Jimmy Parks; five brothers, Ivan Mekan, Gene Mekan, David Mekan, Tom Mekan and Bill Mekan; five sisters, Valida Mastalvich, Frances Mekan, Carolyn Mekan, Launita McNeil and June Aimes; a special friend, Robert C. White; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
One son, Ernest Ray Parks, preceded her in death.
Friends called at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services were scheduled. The Rev. Dale Shoup of Malden officiated.
Burial followed in the Dudley Cemetery.
