Wilfred F. Shaw of Duncansville RD 2, died at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1978, in his home, after a brief illness. Mr. Shaw had owned and operated S&S Home Furnishings for the past 26 years.
He was born April 17, 1909, in Duncansville, a son of Charles and Mary (Maddocks) Shaw, and was twice married, first to Josephine Snyder, who died in 1952, and then in June 1955 to Hazel Hall.
Surviving are his wife, three children, Dwight of Duncansville, Mrs. Grace Adams of Altoona and Mrs. Mary Ellen Stultz of Somerset; four step-children, LeRoy Hall, in Connecticut, and Mrs. Joan Shaw, Mrs. Elaine Taylor and Mrs. Diane Fitzgerald of Altoona; 29 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, his mother, of Duncansville RD 2 and a brother, Millard of Duncansville.
Mr. Shaw had served as a Juniata Township supervisor.
Friends will be received in the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
