Memories of my aunt.
My Aunt Martha worked in a glove factory in Gloversville for many years. About every four years, she would drive down to Arizona and visit us. I always thought of her as being very brave and adventurous for driving from New York to Arizona with only a couple of her children with her. My aunt was so much fun; she and her daughter would teach us all the new dances. We would all be dancing around the living room to the latest songs on the radio or playing records on our record player.

My Aunt Martha was also a very generous person, she would buy us Christmas gifts and mail them to us. One year, she gave me a Chatty Cathey doll for Christmas; the following year, she gave me a Chatty Baby doll for Christmas. She was always sending my sisters and me beautiful clothes. She was a very giving and loving aunt. I will always remember her with fondness, kindness and love.
