Funeral services for George Thomas Loy, 55, who died at the home of his son, Thurman Loy, Saturday Afternoon, November 26, 1938, were held Monday afternoon in the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Dean Smith, Muskogee, former pastor, with the Rev. George W. Wassom, pastor, assisting. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Hersman Funeral Home.
Survivors include, his wife, Lavada, of the home; one son, Thurman Loy; and two daughters, Elva and Ethel, of the home. His mother, Mrs. Cynthia Loy and a brother, D. A. Loy, both of Wagoner, and three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Cannon, Wagoner, Mrs. Lizzie Poorboy, Coffeyville, Kansas and Mrs. Malissa Shake, Pawhuska, also survive.
