She was the daughter of Isaac and Mary Parks, both of whom have preceded her in death. At the age of ten she removed with her parents to Danbury where she grew to womanhood. On February 28, 1897, she was united in marriage to Albert Allen Watson at Danbury. After the marriage they removed to Correctionville where they have since resided with the exception of the past five years which were spent near Howard, South Dakota. To this union two children were born, Harold Vinton and Dorothy Ada. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, son and daughter, also five sisters and one brother: Mrs. Olive Jerman, Remsen; Mrs. Mae Warren, Battle Creek, Iowa; Mrs. Cora Leetch, Danbury; Mrs. Cleo Utesch and Mrs. Alice Cohrt both of Correctionville; and Mr. Arthur Parks of LeMars. Her death was due to a complication of diseases, being in failing health for the past four years. She united with the M.E. church here in 1894 under the pastorate of Rev. Glasgow. She was also a member of the Yeoman Lodge, the Royal Neighbors, and the Rebekah lodge of this place. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the M.E. church with Rev. J.L. DeWitt officiating. The remains were interred in the Correctionville Cemetery.
