He was born April 28, 1925, in DeKalb and had resided in White Oak and Gladewater most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army as a medic during World War II. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Mary Knight Hill of White Oak; one son, Ronnie Hill of White Oak; one daughter, Linda Elliott of Euless; his stepmother, Ruby Hill of Gladewater; four brothers, Arville Hill of East Mountain, Gene Hill of White Oak, James Hill of Kilgore and Allen Walsh of North Carolina; three sisters, Decie Clark of Durant, Okla., Carolyn Ross of Gladewater and Ruby McMinn of Dallas; one uncle, Raymond Medlin of Oil City, La.; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. - Gladewater Mirror.
