Funeral services for Beatrice (Aunt Bea) Chaney, 94, of Honey Grove will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at McKenzie United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Lee and Rev. Charles Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Chaney passed away February 5, 2005 at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Beatrice was born September 8, 1910 in Honey Grove to Elver Dee Cunningham and Leona Lynn.

She married Douglas Ray Chaney on August 21, 1949 in Paris, Texas. Mr. Chaney preceded her in death on September 3, 1976.

Mrs. Chaney was a lab technician for the City of Lubbock. She was a member of McKenzie United Methodist Church and Aunt Bea was very loving to all. She loved her church and she also loved children and interacting with young couples.

Pallbearers will be Hal Fowler, Jan Cummins, Joe Stuart, Jimmy Doyle, James Milam and Jerry Simpson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Simpson, Danny Simpson, Brett Thomas, Kevin Thomas, Tony Thomas, Brad Ingram and Chad Ingram.

Family visitation is set for 6:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, February 7 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Honey Grove.

Beatrice Chaney is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Frances and J.D. Thomas of Honey Grove; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and L.R. Simpson of Whitesboro, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Judy Chaney of Soper, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
