He was born in Laurens and was the son of the late Claude and Lola Rowland Barker.
Mr. Barker was a former employee of C.M.I. and was a member of Lydia Mill Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Sherfield Barker, of the home; two sons, Andy Barker and Adam Barker, both of Clinton; a daughter, Amy Young, of Cross Hill; three brothers, Roy Price and Ricky Price, both of Laurens, and Jimmy Ross, of Washington; a foster brother, Nelson Curry, of Hendersonville, N.C.; a half sister, Jerri Strickland, of Clinton; six grandchildren; and a goddaughter, Tina Pack, of Enoree.
He was predeceased by a brother, Roger Cash.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home. -- Gray Funeral Home-Clinton.
