Larry Oliver Barbee, 44, of Manassas, died Saturday, January 7, 1989. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967 as a Spec, 4 with the 520th MP Detachment, USARPAC, stationed at Tripler Army Hospital, Hawaii. Barbee is survived by his wife, Carol A. Barbee; two sons, Michael C. and Timothy T. J. Barbee, both of the home; father, James Monroe Barbee Sr. of Manassas; four brothers, James M. Barbee Jr. of Manassas, Ray Barbee of California, Elton (Bill) and Charles Ashby Barbee Sr., both of Manassas; one sister, Alice M. Whitt of Manassas; and maternal grandmother, Bertha Posey of Manssas. Friends may call from 7 to 9pm Tuesday, at Lee Funeral Home, Manassas, where services will be held at 1:30pm Wednesday with Pastor Aubrey C. Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Quantico National Cemetery with military honors. No flowers please.
