Larry Oliver Barbee, 44, of Manassas, died Saturday, January 7, 1989. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967 as a Spec, 4 with the 520th MP Detachment, USARPAC, stationed at Tripler Army Hospital, Hawaii. Barbee is survived by his wife, Carol A. Barbee; two sons, Michael C. and Timothy T. J. Barbee, both of the home; father, James Monroe Barbee Sr. of Manassas; four brothers, James M. Barbee Jr. of Manassas, Ray Barbee of California, Elton (Bill) and Charles Ashby Barbee Sr., both of Manassas; one sister, Alice M. Whitt of Manassas; and maternal grandmother, Bertha Posey of Manssas. Friends may call from 7 to 9pm Tuesday, at Lee Funeral Home, Manassas, where services will be held at 1:30pm Wednesday with Pastor Aubrey C. Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Quantico National Cemetery with military honors. No flowers please. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Coles Volunteer Fire Dept. and Rescue Squad, 13712 Dumfries Rd., Manassas, 22111; or a charity of your choice.
