Mrs. Bloom Carlton
Dies While Working
Mrs. Bloom Carlton, wife of a prominent farmer of near Center,
died suddenly at her home Thursday, at the age of 60 years.
She is survived by her husband and nine children.
Members of the family had left the house for a short time and
left the aged mother setting in her chair stringing beans and
when they returned she was still sitting in the chair, apparently
at her work, but was dead.
Funeral services were conducted at Mitchells Chappel church
by Rev. R. L. Speer. Squire Fate Winters made a short talk after
Mr. Speer finished, and told of the noble life his departed friend
and neighbor had lived. Interment was in the church graveyard.
