Mrs. Julia A. Child, well known in Indianapolis, died yesterday in Kansas City, whither she had gone to visit relatives. Her remains will reach here today en route to Madison.--[Item in Indianapolis Sentinel.]

Mrs. Child formerly resided in this city and was the wife of John A. Child. She was the sister of John D. Schmidlap, late of this city, but now of Pueblo, Col. Re remains will be interred in the family burial lot in Springdale cemetery [note: burial was in Fairmount Cemetery.]
