WILLIE ARTHUR, 86, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005, at his residence. Willie was born Feb. 22, 1919, in Huntington, a son of the late Ike and Laura Fuller Arthur. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ethil Douglas, and four brothers, Hasten, Charley, Buck, and Junior Arthur. He was a US Army Veteran of WW II having served in the Army Air Force, and retired from Houdaille Industries after having worked at Kerr Glass, and was a former owner operator of Bill & Rene's Tavern, The Lone Oak Restaurant and Tavern, and Blue Room Tavern. Willie belonged to the VFW Post 1064 and the DAV Chapter 2 of Huntington. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Florine Wells Arthur, a son and daughter-in-law, James Douglas and Diann Arthur of Forest , Va.; a sister and brother-in-law, Louella and Truman Morrison of Lavalette; two grandsons, James Douglas Arthur II, and his spouse, Kim Arthur of Forest, Va., and Eric Christopher Arthur of Dallas, Texas; and a great-grandson, Brandon Douglas Arthur of Forest, Va. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Larry Greene officiating, and burial will be in Crook Cemetery
