Funeral services for Charley V. Scribner, 75, of Crossett, who passed away Thursday, February 11, in the Crossett hospital, were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was a retired sawmill employee and a deacon in the Baptist Church. Services were conducted by Rev. Carroll Evans, his pastor, and Rev. J. A. Reynolds.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Scribner, one daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Tatman of Tacoma, Washington; four brothers, William A. Scribner, Ft. Bragg, Calif., Erval Scribner, Clarks, La., Athel Scribner, St. Mary[s], Ga., and Edward Scribner of Kreole, Ms.

Pallbearers were Harold Farmer, Preston Pennington, Delton Pennington, J. D. Moore, J. B. Rainey and H. L. Seamans.

Burial was in Pinewood Memorial Cemetery by Jones Funeral Home.
