Funeral services for Phillip N. Fregoe, 83, North Racket Road, were held this morning at 9:30 at the farm home and at 10 at St. Patrick's Church in Hogansburg.

Mr. Fregoe had been in failing health for the past three or four years. He suffered a cerebral hemorrhage at about 1:30 Friday afternoon and his condition remained serious until death came at 4:45 Saturday morning, February 3, 1951.

Mr. Fregoe was born and spent his entire life and died on the same farm on the North Racket Road, known as the Fregoe homestead.

He was born August 5, 1867, one of two sons of Phillip and Nellie Coyer Fregoe. His brother,, Melvin Fregoe, died in 1883.

He married Miss Julia Boyea of Fort Covington on February 12, 1889 in a ceremony performed in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fort Covington.

Eleven children were born to the couple, eight of whom survive.

Surviving are the wife; four sons, Ervin and Dennis of Massena, Charles, who conducts the home farm, and Clarence Fregoe, Theresa; four daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Angie) Carvel, Mrs. Irene M. Langlois, Mrs. Henry (Florence) Besaw, all of Massena, and Mrs. Milton B. (Kathryn) Snell, Potsdam; 15 grandchildren.

Mr. Fregoe was a member of Massena Grange 704, P.H. and St. Patrick's Parish.
